Harmonia Review

About Harmonia Review

Harmonia Review is an online literary journal dedicated to amplifying the voices of female writers. We seek work that offers nuanced perspectives on women’s experiences, female characters, and feminist themes. Our mission is to provide a space for authentic storytelling that embodies the diverse realities of womanhood.

We publish short-form prose, literary reviews, and art, pairing each visual piece with a written work. We accept submissions on a rolling basis and publish throughout the year. There is no fee to submit.

We are an exclusively female-run journal.

Why Harmonia?

Our journal takes its name from Harmonia, a nymph of Greek mythology who mothered the first group of Amazon warrior women. Unlike the Theban goddess of the same name, this Harmonia represents a balance of strength and formation. She gave birth to a generation of fierce women who reshaped their world, embodying the harmony of collective resilience, power, empathy, and sisterhood.

We recognize women’s crucial roles—not just as nurturers but as forces of creation, transformation, and influence. We seek writers who challenge, inspire, and redefine narratives about women’s experiences. Give us your best days and your lowest lows. Give us your anger, your heartache, your confusion, your joy. Lay all that you are out on the page; offer us the very core of yourself, and in return, we’ll give your work a place to call home.
